Gary brings over 40 years of aviation maintenance expertise and former FAA experience to the Mentair Group team.
He has extensive experience with 14 CFR Part 121, Part 135, and Part 145 operations.
Gary served as a Senior Manager for several FAA Flight Standards District Offices (FSDOs) and brings a diverse background and extensive experience to include air carriers, repair stations, pilot schools, A & P mechanic schools, external load operations and agricultural operators. He was also a Certificate Management Office (CMO) Manager and a Branch Manager in the FAA Southwest Region, Quality Assurance and Evaluation Branch.
He also provides consulting services for aircraft accident investigations and to legal firms in the areas of enforcement investigations and as an expert witness.
Gary holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license and a senior parachute rigger certificate. He has numerous years of experience with both large and small fixed wing and helicopter maintenance operations and is a valuable asset to the team's services.
Gary is a Viet Nam veteran and was a crew chief on UH1-H and OH6A helicopters receiving a Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Army Commendation Medal(s) during his extended tour (1968 through 1970).
Gary raises horses and enjoys trail riding with his grandchildren, and catch and release fishing in the back country of Idaho.
His diverse aviation experience in all aspects of FAA regulatory compliance issues brings a wealth of experience to the Mentair Group.
